Sometimes good ideas come in the shower. At 1 in the morning. I wanted to orchestrate something with fast and nimble strings, woodwinds and brass elements without overdoing it. At least faster and nimbler than what I normally write. This idea rattled in my head for a couple of months with a number of failed and rejected (by me) implementations. Finally, it stuck on the 4th try so I’m glad I stayed with it. It was definitely a good learning experience.
